Planning a new book is probably my favorite part of being a writer, maybe because I’ve got such an effective process for brainstorming and planning all the details of my characters and their stories so it comes easy for me.
When a new story idea starts brewing in the back of my mind, I can’t wait to start getting into all the details and writing it all down so I don’t forget anything.

One thing I discovered is that I was constantly having to go flip through notes from other books I’ve worked on to make sure I was getting all the necessary details written down early to prevent future plot holes and inconsistencies when I started writing.
Once I realized that I needed a way to keep things consistent, I got to work creating worksheets that I could print and fill out for future books instead of just creating the same types of lists over and over again for each book in a blank notebook.
Before I knew it, I had created an entire workbook!

I created these worksheets directly from the way I make notes for myself when planning a book. I decided that creating the worksheets would help make my work more consistent with future books.
Because I’ve found these worksheets so helpful with my planning, I’ve decided to make them available to everyone else too!

Includes Tools for:
• Creating your cast of characters
• Brainstorming & Plotting your story and scenes
• Turning your brainstorm into a detailed plot summary
• Getting to know the location and history of your book
• Planning ahead for future marketing
• and more…

In addition to creating useful worksheets to help walk you through the process of planning your next book (or even your first!), I also included borders and mandalas that you can color. As a neurodivergent author myself, I know that sometimes while brainstorming I will start by staring off into space, which then turns into staring at my screen and eventually browsing social media.

By adding these small features that I can color while brainstorming, I have found that it keeps my attention focused on the task at hand instead of letting me get distracted and start to wander.
