At the end of August, my husband and I put in an offer on a small piece of land a few miles from where we currently live. On Labor Day, after some negotiations and a little hardball, the seller accepted our offer.
Throughout the month we were very busy with making plans, getting things set up, and buying the necessary equipment to get started clearing trees as soon as we closed on the property.
The closing happened on Friday, September 29th and we have hardly stopped since.
We have been clearing dead trees and meeting with the necessary people to get things ready to begin the building process. I’ve been documenting the process some on social media (though I’m trying hard not to bore everyone, haha).
I have been doing my best to make time to write, but it definitely has not been easy with everything else going on. That said, I AM making progress on my next book (Title to be announced), which will be the first in a series of 5 (that is the current plan anyway).
This book is a small-town romance (which seems to be the niche that I am finding myself in) and I am so in love with the characters and their small town already. I cannot wait to share more about them with you.
Currently, I have this next book completely outlined into 42 chapters, and I’m in the process of writing Chapter 3 now. It’s a little slow going as I don’t currently have a writing buddy, which definitely impacts my ability to focus, so instead of writing pages all at one time, it’s more like sentences or paragraphs, haha!
In addition to this series that I am starting, I have also been working on the three sequels that I promised you all for Awakening, and the Prequel “Jocelyn’s Journal” as well. You can read the first chapter of Jocelyn’s Journal here, and as soon as it is finished, it will become a free gift for newsletter subscribers. So if you haven’t joined my email list, you should do that now!
